The Making of the Wild Lot

THE Business IDEA

Creative soul Elaine Chen-Fernandez had long desired to establish a creative space in the concrete jungle of Hong Kong. Drawing from an eclectic array of inspiration; from authentic Hong Kong culture, to Maurice Sendak’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, and embracing the values of sustainability and creativity that align with her core beliefs, Elaine has created more than a space. The Wild Lot is a hub, a hive, a home; a creative community designed for for connecting, collaborating and nurturing the imagination.

THE Design PROCESS

As this concept had been so many years in the making, Elaine had a clear idea of how The Wild Lot should look and feel. Being a fellow creative, and very much a part of The Wild Lot’s target demographic, I immediately related to the brand Elaine wanted to develop. Very much a collaborative design process, I worked closely with Elaine to bring her ideas to life.

First step was moodboarding - to make sure we were all on the same page, then we proceeded to developed a range of initial logo options.

THE LOGO OPTIONS…

In a collaborative process, we refined the initial concepts down to the final logo design and rolled out the complete brand identity.
